Il disco del sole

Samuele Telari’s bayan virtuosity keeps its balance on many borders. A young instrumentalist, he was born in Spoleto, Italy in 1992 and he came into spotlight with the “Premio Abbado” award in 2015. His debut album is an atypical and captivating work, and it was recorded with a so-called “bio” technology, with no adjustments on its original simplicity. Telari belongs to a generation of astonishing Italian artists whose overwhelming musicality goes beyond their instrument: here, Bach becomes an organ, Gubajdulina a mystical prayer, Saint-Saëns a flaming orchestra. Also, painter Lorenzo Indrimi’s evocation by composer Domenico Turi stands out with its fascination.
